The American Diabetes Association® (ADA) holds a Memorandum of Understanding with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and Prevention to offer training for individuals to become DPP Lifestyle Coaches. Our Lifestyle Coaches are trained to deliver the Diabetes Prevention Program Group Lifestyle Balance™ program to individuals at risk for type 2 diabetes. The DPP Group Lifestyle Balance™ program is an approved curriculum for application to the CDC Diabetes Prevention Recognition Program (DPRP).
This informative and practical Lifestyle Coach Training provides attendees with the background, information, and skills necessary to conduct the healthy lifestyle change program in a wide variety of health care and community settings. This course is intended for individuals who are working for a CDC-recognized organization, or an organization that is preparing to apply for CDC-recognition.
